I'm lovin the twin turbo porche with all the carbon fiber droooooool. And why would you want to pay 11g's for a 270 hp engine? I could drop 2k in my D16 and have plenty more than that.

the Alpine car WAS a mini cooper

you guys have no idea. that is just the stuff i caught on camera. i saw so much more. some cool products coming out are:

Apline = a true touch screen monitor. the dvd menu can be anywhere on the screen and it'll work. to top that off they have what they are calling reverse pulse in the same monitor. when you touch the screen it feels like you touched a button...it also makes a clicking sound. it looks like a normal screen but feels like you hit a pc key it is truly something you have to experience to understand. i highly recommend you go to your local Alpine dealer and check it out when the new stuff arrives.

Several brands = amp controlled deck. yup! no more reaching under your seat or into your trunk. the head unit can adjust all adjustments on the amp. of course it has to be from matching brands

Several brands = "monitor screen" in the head unit display. right now you need need monitors and the e-brake has to be on for video to play. these units the picture is right in the normal display area...you hook up to external dvd player which = no e-brake has to be on. i think Sony had the unit that displays 3 pics in the 1 screen!

i know there is more...just can't think of it. i'll add it when i remember

The CRX looks the exact same as the one on the GD2K site (rims and all), xcept they seem to have upgraded the interior and dressed the engine

Guess i was right about the mini =\

they didn't know. i found it interesting so i snapped a pic for all you shiney happy people holding hands

Americanfeagle03 they told me they were told ground designs. after i got home i looked the pics over and saw part of their sticker on the front bumper...

i saw it somewhere else on the car when i was there but don't see it in the pics now. if you really want to know: e-mail them with a link to a pic (http://www.4thgenerationcivic.com/CES/CES_041.jpg) and ask them straight up

If you look on the base of the mirror, you can make out APR.

Very sweet cars indeed! I love the interior on that porsche, I wish I knew how to work carbon fiber, I'd be constantly re-doing something on my car.

The body kit was designed and built by the owner of Ground Designs. It was featured a while back in HCI & yeah, it's badass. The kit was fabricated as a prototype and has since been put into production. Ground Designs sells it, but it's over $4k...

Re: C.E.S. pics (56K assasination)

generally i'd be saying "working hard, or hardly working" BUT....

i'm glad you found that. now i know for sure what the hell i was looking at. that car was sick. except for the interior. i hope it's still in the works. it didn't have much imagination into it compared to the rest of the car. i did like the weaved leather look. it had a CF feel but wasn't the CF that everybody else had....and everybody had it.

toucan/ractive had 2 cars. 1 was wrapped cf from the windows down, bumper to bumper. the other car had white CF accents all over it in custom spots. i didn't take pics that day because i was really sick. i wish i had though...

what are you trying to say here? i finally get approval to take the bag off my head for pics?

i refuse to post up some of the other pics i took with steve brown (guy who made alpine car) and gahilager (sp?)....i was so sick i looked like i was a dead person walking. the week before we left i felt a cold coming on so i drank a bunch of oj. what a mistake. that's on my list. i was okay when we left for reno on the 6th but by the time we flew into vegas on the 7th i was done for. couldn't keep food down for the next 4 days. it really sucked because they were going to steak houses and at all the VIP after hour parties had open bars. oh well. i learned my lesson
