lol... Race a skyline in top end sounds like suicide... Although qtr mile might be fun. Just gotta remember in life, there's always someone with more money and more speed. Although top end might be fun... That's why I got the T56 trans, to keep my top end at a nice tasty number.

Just NO rally races... My car with all it's suspension upgrades still handles like a shopping cart at high speeds.

Bro,it sounds like you have put a great deal of time, money and more importantly thought into your car.Since you run nittos and can probably really drive the hell out of the car-run him.I just honestly cant believe that any street driven (and street tired)supra could take a stang at the power level your at.Kick his ass take his money and shut him the hell up.
So many of the rice racer fast and the furious wanna-be's think that stangs are slow it just amazes me.I guess some people have to learn the hard way..

Thanks bro. I will, gonna do it for all those who wondered about the fast and the furious and it's lack of reality, like a sub 10sec Supra keeping up with a Race Blown Hemi.

Skyline you should let the Buick play in the reindeer games. hehe

As far as thought time and money. Basically my car came together 500$ a month Piece by piece. The Engine basically spent most of its time on a stand getting piece by piece added. Also read through issue after issue of MM&FF and Hot Rod and Car Craft. Id heard horror stories from my dad about shit blowing in his 440 Dodge and wanted to make sure it didnt happen to me. Although I would like some quick opinion on another matter. It's still has the weathered factory ford red, I want to repaint it a shade of red, but I want one less orange than fords shade. Any suggestions?

Also quickie. Im stuck on decideding here. Charcol Bullet rims or Cobra Y2K chromes?

My car looks kinda like a beater right now with it's multishaded fading red and stock ponies.

But of course he can play in reindeer games

So, you need a paint job. All go, and no show. I like it.

Today after class we gave our money to mutual friend to hold untill the big day. Then we took a ride over to his house to see the magic Supra that would run faster than the hopes and dreams of most ricers. When he opened the hood I was somewhat impressed... Lots of chrome, although I didnt see anything else worth while, stock turbos from the looks of things, pretty much all round stock. A nice Auto Meter tach on the dash... with an automatic next to the seat... I tried to hold in my laughter. He started it up and it really didnt impress me, it sounded tough but like any other ricer... The exhaust turned out to be just a muffler unless after market exhaust for that car is 2 1/4 inches at best. He had lots of stickers though! NOS, Stillen, Apexi, and Nitto... Although the rims had a set of Firestone meats. I dunno... My car sounded meaner than his just with the cam and exhaust. Probably not as fast at the time but definately sounded better. Does anyone know what size gear they have stock? 2.73? 3.27? It cant be very tall for a car with it's top end... Either way, my friend who was with us was rather glad he put money against the Supra. Oh and it had about 200ilbs worth of body kit and spoiler and maybe 50ilbs more worth of amps and subs... Sure looks like a screamer.... I should trade him cars right now.

Stock turbos? If I remeber right, they should be slightly different between the two. They come stock as sequentials.

Dont let the stock sound fool you. I have heard stock sounding GTRs run low 10s. Although a Supra is not a GTR

Right you are my good man. Besides GTRs benefit from AWD. The Supra has a light rear end with a RWD system. Unless he has a set of hidden slicks those Firestones wont do the trick. Also Ive heard nothing of Supra shift kits so that automatic is gonna be a huge handicap.

Re: Race Advice

Take it to the track and whip his ass. If he just has a downpipe and exhaust, he's not doing anything above 350hp (unless he has a boost controller).

A good 1/4, you should easily beat him down with Mustang love.

Re: Race Advice

yes, automatic is poopoo in the supra.
No slicks, no Nitrous, he is toast.
