Re: JL subs...what should i do?

I don't know about your area, but my local shop and other shops here in southern california, we can get a 12W7 for $430 with warranty. Gap between the 12" brahma and the 12w7 in price isn't that large.

In most cases, less excursion means less distortion, but in the W7's case, it has that nice flat BL curve, which inheritly has low distortion all the way up to ~22.0mm of one way displacement. THD from 1mm shouldn't be any different than from say 15mm or so.

Not to say the XBL^2 couldn't do the same, but in this case, they'll both have low THD due to the flat curves.

One on One, the W7 wins. 2 on 1, the brahma wins.

just incase you didn't know(you probly did), the brahma is an sq sub, and i believe that it holds the record for loudest single sub or something like that(saw it on their website). so if you want the loudest, and the cleanest get the brahma.

and if we had a poll, i believe that the brahma would win, that is assuming that everyone here doesn't have mainstream boners.

i knew that posting this would open up a can of worms, anyways, the brahma will still out perform the w7 or any sub for the money, i dont see why not to get one.
