yeah the 94 one is the one i was thinking about ... knew i saw one someplace ...

it wouldn't be to hard to make the hood ... and the rear wing (i beleive it was a little higher then the stock peice) ... all that would be left is the wheels, exhaust .. and the little custom badge at the front of the nose ...

i had a 00 model for 2 weeks but the trans kept crapping out in it ... so swapped for an 00GT (stang) ... but am back in an f-body now (69 camaro) ...

ok enough thread highjacking lol ...

yeah the new stang prototype would be sweet as a kit ...
wouldn't mind seeing kits for the new S-10's and blazers as well ... plenty of people would buy them up for minitruck models...

Re: My 2004 wish list for new kits

Hey guys...how about a TVR Tuscan or a Cerbera? (any type, Speed 6, 8 or 12) One of those is the car of my dreams....
But I'd settle with a Tamiya VW Corrado G60 for now...I think I'd buy a dozen of those..

right now a worked over 350 ... i do not know all the details as i did not build the motor but instead bought it from a shop in town i do know it has 10.5 compresson ... doesn't get over 180 deg even on a 100+ day .. runs a minimum of 45psi for oil pressure even after driving all day long ... and gets about 12 miles per gallon lol ... it was just a motor i picked up to start driving the car with ... have another engine in the shop i am rebuilding as money permits ...

Well, here's the kits and the respective manufacturers and scales I'd like to see them in.

Aoshima:
1:24th scale MGB GT (you people 'effin HAVE a roadster tool, modify it to make a GT PLEASE!)
1:24th Subaru WRX STi (the new one.)
1:24th Datsun 240Z (US spec bodywork. Only way we'll get a good one)

Tamiya:
1:12th scale Ferrari F2003GA (the world needs this kit)
1:24th scale Oreca Viper GTS (overlooked, much?)
1:24th scale Ferrari 575Maranello
1:24th scale Ferrari 360GTC (another modified reissue)
1:24th scale Aston Martin Vanquish (too cool to ignore)
1:24th scale Citroen Xsara WRC (tarmac trim, too)
1:24th scale Ferrari 333SP

Revell:
1:24th scale Nissan 240SX (S13 chassis fastback, with KA24DE and SR20DET engine options and 17inch SSR Mesh wheels)
1:24th scale Saleen S7 and S7R (give the poor Fordlings some love, it was a rough year in ALMS)
1:24th scale R34 Skyline GTR (release it with engine detail, some optional BIG turbos and some 19inch Work Meister wheels and you'll beat Tamiya at their own game)
1:25th scale 1969 AMC AMX (the old AMT kit is too expensive to build and the old Johan Shirley Shahan kit is beginning to get that way, and neither one is very good)
1:25th scale 1967 Pontiac GTO (AMT isn't going to tool up a new one anytime soon, and that old ex-MPC kit bites the big one)
1:25th scale 1967 Pontiac Catalina (lowrider... that's all that needs to be said about that one)
1:24th scale Mosler MT900
1:24th scale Morgan Aero 8 (personal vested interest in seeing this kit produced)

Hasegawa

1:24th scale Mazda RX3
1:24th scale Lancia Delta S4
1:24th scale Ford RS200 (please please please please please)
1:24th scale Datsun 510 2 door. (need a stock body one)

Fujimi

1:24th scale Lola T70 MkIII coupe (just like the 917, please)
1:24th scale Ferrari 288GTO Evoluzione (modified release based on the Enthusiast series tooling)
1:24th scale Ford GT40 MkIV (I can't afford to build the old MPC GT40 MkIV)

AMT/RC

STOP MAKING KITS UNTIL YOU REHIRE JOHN MUELLER!

This Is What We Really Need

The only cars that i would like to see would be

JGTC BMW M3
Mclaren F1
Carrera Gt
STI wagon
jetta
audi A3
SABB
mosler Mt900
Slr Mclaren
RUF RGT
Audi Lemans Quattro

Now those would be some bad azz cars and i would get tamiya or fujimi to make them screw revell and AMT they have been screwing up cars the past few models they have made.

I want revell to release the Lowirder Magazine Edition Caddy coupe Deville in PLASTIC not diescast. I also and waiting for someone to make a Catalina Lowrider, I'd also like to see these, but not as much so.
1968 Impala 4 door pillarless
1963 Impala 4 door pillarless
1958 Impala SS convertible (couldn't be bothered converting a hardtop)
1984 Chevrolet Caprice
1990 Caddy 4 door Brougham
1990 Lincoln Towncar

Well, the "modern" ones probably have a slim to none chance of production, but you can actually get resin bodies of the others (as I recall) from Modelhaus. Heck, the 1958 Impala convertible is one of their most popular with custom builders, and light commercial builders have been singing the praises of their complete 1984 Impala kit for a while.

And chubbs, Fujimi has a longer history of screwed up kits than Revell. AMT is primarily a producer of classic American cars, and have been doing so since they were SMP back in the 50's. Many of AMT's kits are in fact leftovers from this period (their 1932 Ford Roadster, for instance) and thus have their problems.

Revell has an even better track record, also stretching back to the 50's. They began with a run of 1:32nd scale acetate plastic kits called the "Highway Pioneers" that were highly accurate depictions of cars like the 1902 Oldsmobile Curved Dash Runabout. In the late 50's, they began doing their infamous multi-piece body kits like their Austin-Healey 100-6, 1959 Ford Fairlane Skyliner (with functional retractible hardtop ) and the Lincoln Futura. Detail and features were their primary concerns during this period. It gave us opening doors and trunks along with hoods, poseable steering, and engines with molded crankshafts in their blocks and finely engraved valvetrains.

I dare you to go through the parts in Revell's classic Jaguar XK-E roadster kit or AMT's beloved 1949 Mercury kit and then say that they're inferior kits to Tamiya's 1:24th scale Porsche 935 or Fujimi's new Subaru WRX STi.
