The pay more for male drivers seems to be a global thing. Here in New Zealand same thing.
It used to be years ago that women drivers were not as aggressive as male drivers hence the premium differences. Over the past 10 years though things have changed, yet the insurance companies have not reviewed their policies towards younger drivers. This seems to be aimed more at the under 25 drivers and even those under 30.
I know once I hit the almighty 31 my insurance rates dropped like a stone. They told me that since I am now over 30 that I am considered to be more relaxed and have gotten my lead foot years done with and over.

Yea right!

Arguing on the Internet is like competing in the special olympics. Even if you win, you're still retarded.

Pennsylvania insurance is higher for guys than girls, as well.

I pay just shy of $800 a year for my insurance (higher b/c car is in my own name). My brother will be paying quite a bit once he gets his liscense... Thank God he only has his permit for now!!!!!!!!

Some for guys:

Policy Designed Especially for Men

Special Allowances for:

*Men getting distracted whilst perving at women
*Thinking they can fit into a car space, and saying "whoops" when they reverse into the car behind
*View being obscured by "Furry Dices"
*Causing accident because "CD" hanging from mirror reflected sunlight into eyes, and was blinded temporarily
*Losing concentration whilst scratching oneself
*Having problems seeing because car seat is so dam low, that all you can see from side on is a head above the window

WE allow for:
*Damage to suspension from stuffing 9 mates into a car for 5, and also for bouncing in car to R and B music.
*Drivers caught driving on the wrong side of the road because they "forgot" they weren't in a commonwealth country.

And:

*obtaining your licence by bribing the instructing officer.

All in jest ofcourse
