Wow! Beautiful! The paint is perfect. The wheels are a perfect choice. The entire thing is just magnifacent. All your models are a welcome break from the cutting edge new school set that are all over, and their quality helps make that that much more pleasant to look at! Great work! I can't wait to see more, espescially that crazy Auster!

Very nice!

The second picture kinda makes the bottom of the body look like a Ghost, the checker pattern just keeps on going on the reflection

Re: 1966 Nissan Silvia

WOW!!! Great work.
I looked at the first pic, and thought that it was a real pic. I thought it was like a reference that you used, then I looked closely and noticed that it was a model. Awesome work.

Thanks for the encouraging words guys... I wasn't to sure how something like this would go down here A lot of the things I'm making are a bit odd as I have so many old kits to put together. The next one to be finished is far more modern than this..well 1980's anyway

For the first time on this model I used some Kosutte-Ginsan to do the window surrounds rather than foil. It worked great but I decided to try and clear coat over it which dulled it a little..oh well The emblems are foil though. I've always hated foil as i could never master it. Until now. I had always used Modelers BMF but for one i got hold of some original BMF and what a difference! The modelers stuff is junk

Kosutte-Ginsan is absolutely incredible stuff! If you have never tried it ..do. You won't be disapointed. It's by far got the best chrome finish I have ever seen. Beteen that and proper BMF I can't see me using much chrome silver paint any more

By the way, this kit is still available from HLJ I think. Either that or the Aoshima one is. I had a thought just after finishing mine. As the real car is built on a roadster chassis, I could have used a Fujimi Roadster kit as the base and had full engine and suspension detail. Shame I didn't think of that earlier

Re: 1966 Nissan Silvia

Oh well, too bad for the full engine. But hey, no bid deal, not to me anyways. It's always nice to see old skool kewl on the board.
