Sheesh - get a clue before you mouth off.

A 660kg SBC 1G with 200+ bhp will toast most cars you could ever own in real life.

My 140bhp turbocharged 1335cc engine owned most 8s - 0-100 in 7.5 seconds, 1/4 in 15.6. That's with stock suspension, no LSD etc. My SiR would struggle to beat it - if I'd finished the development path of an EW2 1500 decomperesed with fuel injection (instead of draw through solex carb) and 20 pounds of boost it would have been awesome.

The SBC (1G) was the definitive Civic - from the standard 1200 to the 75ps RS version. They handle well, are cheap to get parts for and will go hard. They also look really good when modified with the Mugen widebody, whale tail from the R1 kit, kamei front spoiler or mix and match of the 3 incarnations of the EB1, 2 and 3 engined vehicles. You can drop in 73mm goldwing pistons, mugen quad carb setups, Dell Orto twin 35mm carbs, Webber twin 40mm DCOEs etc, jackson headers that actually wrap out of the car, mugen R1 cam grinds, '80 Civic crank and rods to stroke it out another 100cc and plenty more. You can drop in a city turbo motor to give 2.5 times the original output. Brakes can be crossed from other platforms. That's only the tip of the iceberg - plenty more to choose from.

I'm sorry, but you don't have a clue what you are talking about. Feel free to put up when you actually know anything about the marque of vehicle we are discussing.

Oh - and we are also discussing a JDM City Turbo 2, not the garden variety of NA city

Note use of smilies - I'm not pissy - but until you see a worked SBC on the track with a hybrid EW2 1600 putting out 100KW at the treads and eating rotaries and 8s (ok, so this was early 90s ) then you don't know the potential of the beast

Haha...totally agree

You haven't had the privilege of driving a 1G civic with a City Turbo engine, or the convertible we have with the twin carbi engine. The cars are light, and boy do they go! LIttle pocket rockets

I parks that there car from time to time. Awwwwful nassty to have an accident at 5km/h that insurance won't pay for. Nah, none of that. Let's keep it aboe the head, eh, Guvnor. Oh, damnit, how bored I really, REALLY am. Meow.
