If you can afford a Lamborghini roadster, you can afford not to go outside if it's raining.

Wink

Diablos are for being naughty in. Build quality has improved - but it's not the best in the world. Same can be said for Ferrari - I've had a 550 - and after hard use - it complains heavily!

My previous 98 SV was loud, quick and fun. I did over 10,000Kms in it in sun, rain, snow, hail - no problems. You HAVE to use them to keep all the parts working correctly.

Just picked up a new 2001 model - 2 WD as opposed to the VT - 550bhp and understeering is not allowed!

Build quality much better - but not perfect. But hey - who cares?!!!!

You've said it AWDiablo.

"Build quality much better - but not perfect. But hey - who cares?!!!! "

It's a supercar, and it has its own advantages.

You mention getting the 2wd version. Inmy area the VT would be of the greatest help. Was there performance considerations for your choice of 2wd or were there other factors? Just curious.

It is funny you guys mentioned that Diablo isn't a good car. there was a SV Roadster i know that hard problems with the Electronic system. in the middle of driving, the car's electronic system would just shut down. it got so annoying, the owner sold it. No one could find out why, some people even said there is a ghost in the car. finally some smart buggar found the problem was some sencor broke down behind the start key thing.

but a lambo leaking? i never experience that, they are built to last, unless if that guy treats it like a hooker...

I don't know which car I would check out first ....both are rather rare. I'm sure you checked out both.
F 40 is one heck of a car.....sparce on the interior. Maybe that's why it recieved more attention...because it needed more gadgets to become civilized.

Sorry - I'm back! Piccies will follow - been very busy. Was at Magny Cours this weekend following the Supertrophy GTR - great weekend.

Drove the 'fictional' car all the way there and back - it was awesome. Won't quite go into the speeds driven in France - but it was fun!

Much better than the 98 SV - much more stable above 1x0 mph. (x is not a small number!)

Piccies to follow - they're on my laptop - not on this system.

Reasons for 2WD - over 4WD (VT) - simple:- 550hp and under steer is NOT allowed. Also, with the chassis being stiffer than the 98 SV, not to mention reducing weight by over 80 KG - the throttle responce is better - better power to weight - better gear change (no viscous coupling etc.)

Rear wheel drift out of high speed corners is easy to control - if you've driven a Diablo you know that you need to understand physics (i.e. lift off in the middle of a corner and the rear will want to go the other way - better have some corrective lock dialed in when you do it...) - but there is absolutley no need to be intimidated by it as the cars setup is so good that the chassis and steering tell you whats going on.

It really is much better...honest!

If any of you went to Magny Cours, my car was one of the 2 Black MY2001 Diablo's. UK registered (the other black - <VT> was German) the only visable difference is a larger centrally placed Lamborghini badge on the rear - with no VT badge in the corner.

Mine was also covered in dead insects - due to using it!
