Re: 3rd Gen Civic roll call!!!!
a B18c5 requires some parts from www.hasport.com and modification of the firewall for the intake manifold to clear, and in my case conversion to MPFI (whee....) its a good amount of modification and most definitely expensive... the more cost effective way would be to go to a B16A or a ZC, but I'm insane so I'm set on an ITR engine

Re: 3rd Gen Civic roll call!!!!
I have an 86 Civic 4-door Wagon. It's staying stock. I'm not putting any speed money into this thing, only to wind up with a War Mouse! A Chiuaha with a spike collar!

86 honda civic
I got a 86 honda civic dx hatchback........engine screwed up so we dropped it out now me and my dad are looking for a good cheap engine to put in it.......think we are look for a crappy 87-89 acura integra so we can all the engine and swap it into the civic. I do not know much about the older civics so would this kind of engine work without any mods. In anouther post i think they said it would just drop in with not much problems which would be good in our case. The other question i had was where is a good site that you can buy like body kits and preformance parts for the 86 civic dx?? thanks

Here's a link to my project, http://www.cardomain.com/ride/2283923 a 1987 Si,called GTI in the UK.Bought from a nice lady who had owned since 1994,sold it due to corrosion in torsion bar area.Rest of car good, underseal starting to perish so caught it before serious damage caused.Full history,2 owners, looks good in black. Will soon be lowered.I've also got a Vtec CRX that has lost the rust battle so may look at fitting the engine into the 3rd gen.
Interior now stripped out for welding and protection.Well pleased with the condition for a 20 year old car. Looking for clear repeaters(front),are they same size as 4th gen? Also tailgate spoiler availability...Any ideas? |

I own a 1986 Honda Civic Sedan 1.5 3BRL Carb. Slight rust on underbody, a bent hood, and some overheating problems. She is a
in the a$$ but I see much potential in it. I put in Silver Star head lamps and about to install a Sony head unit. Xenon dome light and color changing trunk light. New alternator, and some new hoses. She is zippy but not fast enough yet. I call her OL' Skool. |
