Yeah, Eugene. My best advice is to wait until your real damn good with the tamiya, and then you can take on the boyd's. BTW, boyds black metallic wasn't runny on the SS, just gave bad results.

The Tamiya paints are really easy to use. They give you great results even if you mess up a little, at least for me. Testors are fairly easy to use to out of and airbrush.

Sorry guys what I meant was has anybody sprayed a model with boyds and then used tamiya clearcoat on top of it (i.e. are they compatable or is there any reaction).
I appreciate that I can find out by trying it out on a scrap body but I don't have any tamiya clear at the moment - just wondered if anybody has tried it before and how it turned out.

Well to be honest, My clear is Wal-Mart ColorPlace or palace clear in a can for 94cents. Works great, doesn't react with any paint, and I've used it on everything just about, best of all it works with all the paints (tamiya, testor, boyd, plasti-koat, and dupli-color, and krylon.)

Not a lot of progress as I've had flu but anyway heres the 64 after polishing and adding BMF.

I've got a Mazdaspeed RX7 and C-West R34 to do but I'm suffering from modellers block at the moment and can't decide on colurs/graphics/wheels

Re: A mixture of in progress projects

I think the 64 looks real good the way it is, nice and clean.
