The XSi is the same damn engine as the SiRs, why would it be any different? Why would they change a B16 for the XSi?! It always been the same.. The new B16s make 170 (jdm) because of higher compression ratio, better cams, and a better intake manifold.

I think he's confusing the B16A with the B17A wich is 170hp in the 91 GS-R.

Bro get it straight if you don't know motors i would not talk i have been rebuilding honda motors for 10+ years that is what i do! The JDM B17 that you are referring to does not produce 170hp it's 160hp @ 7600 rpms the motor you are referring to is a 10:0:1 compression motor

This is the motor that i'm refering to technically it's from model year 91 1/2 to 4/93

B16A 92-93 Integra (XSi) 170Hp 113Trq 10.4 Compression (JDM OBD I) this motor has a larger throttle body 60mm verses the 58mm on the SiR and the cam is alittle more agressive of course the gas mileage is not as good as the SiR however it kicks ass.

the SiR motor is 10:2:1 compression there for it's 160hp stock

The dynos print outs went with the swaps i did why would i keep somebody else's dyno printout. Secondly you seem to be interesting in winning something! How old are you? oh did the gold valve cover add 10 hp? anyways the talk about the xsi is believable. what you don't think with proper tuning from of the ecu and replacing a restrictive exhaust you can't make good numbers from already good numbers first you said the motor didn't exist now you're saying it can't be done make up your mind you're just trying to win the arguement.

I HAVE the XSi motor, with the S1 tranny.. AND NO, you're not going to get 10hp from a damn exhaust and a chip. SHOW ME if its doable.. I bet you wouldn't gain 5hp from an exhaust and chip. I bet a B16A (of any gen) with just an exhaust and chip isn't going to dyno to any more than 145hp.

You might get 180 flywheel hp with a mugen chip and exhaust but there is no way you are going to get 180 whp with just those mods. Most guys with b16a engines and bolt ons dyno between 140-150 whp depending on the health of the engine and the bolt ons. It usually takes some different cams, headwork, and fuel delivery upgrades to get up towards 180 whp.

and the reason i think its believable is dyno testing in magazines. i think if a magazine can get 20 hp to the wheels with just an intake then exhaust and chip could get to 180hp. i have never seen it but he says he has and it seems believable. just my
