I'm not doing it for just the power alone, there is a bit more to it than that. I don't plan on doing this anytime soon, this would be a future project once I finish college and have a REAL job. I just want to do my research now, that's all. By then, who knows what else might be out and what other crazy idea I come up with.

try fittin a 350ci chevy v8 in a 240sx, it would prolly fit and would give very ample power. i heard of it done before also, and its very cheap to get the engine and parts, prolly under 600.
