Re: Re: Re: greddy turbo

you might want a 255lb fuel pump and a apex-i safe to control the new air\fuel mixture, also get a 3" exhaust and downpipe, you do not need to worie aobut boost creep at such low boost so dont wast your time with a external wastegate... also get new plugs and wires.. if you want you can geta new fuel rail with new bigget injectors but it isnt needed for low boost.. dont boost over 8psi tho because your internals wont handle it for long

good luck

Re: Extra Turbo parts you need!

you do not need a msd the stock ignition is fine with that boost setting, the fuel injectores is also good for now also the e-manage is not need b\c he is running low boost setting and the s-afc is more then capable of tunning the a\f ration in the engine with runing little boost..
rember he isnt going all out

Greddy Kit!!!!!!

GPP kit comes with injectors already. He is going to need a V-AFC not a S-afc. GPP turbo comes witha Inter. Wastegate not an exter. but still can be controlled. You can run 12Psi on a stock block no problem at any time. I've done it with my Hyb. Civid w/GSR motor. B spec is going to controll the boost but the MSD unit is a must.....................Whats the point at 7PSI you have NO traction......

This is just my but if I was going with a complete turbo kit instead of a customized... I would go with this one i found on Nopi for your car(Its a little pricey on NOPI you could probably find it some where else for about 500 bucks cheaper) Its from Turbonetics.

Turbo Kit - GSR VTEC B18C1 1.8L DOHC - 8psi - Kit includes Custom T3/T4 Hybrid Turbocharger, Intercooler System, Exhaust Manifold, Fuel/Timing Management System, External Wastegate Assembly, Fuel Injectors, Mandrel-Bent Downpipe, Intake System, Air Filter and Hardware/Fittings - *90 horse power increase over stock

This kit includes a fms and injectors so all you really need fuel management wise is like a V-afc or whatever they're called(I still can't ever remember which one is recommend for boost) And probably get your ecu re-done by Hondata. An upgraded ignition system would also help but its not needed. Also the kit comes with an external wastegate assembly so that saves you having to deal with it. But there is a slight price difference... the greddy kit your talking about you could probably get for say 2g-2.2g and the Turbonetics kit for round 3g. So its just according to if you want to take the time to look for the external wastegate and other stuff. But from what i've heard(and I'm just stating what I've HEARD) but when I went to the NOPI Nationals this summer, I heard A LOT of people say that the greddy kits aren't all that great. Even the more known ones like the T-78's and T-88's for Supra's and Rx7's. But I heard a lot good things about the Turbonetics kits on Honda and Acura engines, nobody ever said anything bad about them sooo in my opinion(MY OPINION, i'm not deciding for you) I would go with the Turbonetics kit, little more pricey but with the Greddy kit you may get what you pay for less price could = less performance/less life
