Sorry to hear the 240 go
 and the wrx is definitly not a bad way to go... but if i were to choose between a NEW wrx or evo... there would be no choice, evo. It will smoke a wrx sti in everything but the quarter mile which you don't buy that car for anyway. I will probably buy one in a few years but i will not be selling my 240  because i love it way too much and i know once i have some power imma love it a whole lot more haha. anyways what year is your wrx? got any pictures? ide like to see it. -cya

the wrx is good car, my bro has one. i drove it a lot, and i thought it was a really good car. it has really good steering response, and the cars really smooth. i can definately understand why someone would keep a wrx over most cars. dayna, are you gonna get another 240sx maybe?

There are plenty of 240sx's out there that will hand a WRX its ass easily! ANd im gonna go out on a limb here but I think the fastest S chassis car is WAY faster then the fastest WRX, I never heard of WRX's breaking below the 10's LMFAO........ Don't get me wrong I think WRX's are great. And you are right they aren't in the same class as a 240sx. 240sx is more of a sports car and the WRX is more of a family car. Its AWD is superior in the snow, somebody said its AWD was superior to the GTR's?  now that we got that out of the way...240sx is more of the traditional sports car while the WRX comes from a rallying background, these are two totally different cars. For handling lets just look at SCC, everyone knows this, Their 240sx does over 1 g on the lateral skidpad, their WRX does .90 or less...... Both have good tires, both have coilovers and other assorted parts.... MY END VOTE..... MODDED 240sx BEAT SHIT out of a modded WRX anywhere cept offroad, rain, or snow....... for that the AWD is King. I think its funny you said Subaru has good build quality..... Nissan isn't the best either..... but SUBARU? I saw on Car and Driver TV I think it was Rhys Millen drove both of them on a dirt stretch and he reached higher speeds and lower time with the EVO... Duy's old car now owned by Bill will put that hurt on most other WRX's as well, running 10's on a street 240sx with a KA.... A guy named Derek Greaser has 2 240sx's. His Daily Driver is a 250rwhp KA-T that runs 12.9 in the 1/4(Thats 50 hp less then a STI, on 2wd and its still faster in acceleration). His Drag car is a SR that runs in the 10's...... I find it ironic though that you call me ignorant after you say a WRX will beat any 240sx though, thats the most ignorant comment I've seen all week. I just gave you a link to a couple guys beating on STi's with their 240sx's. I also think a good modded 240sx will beat the shit out of a WRX on a real race track. All jap cars are bad on build quality, they are cheap. A WRX is not a luxury car either, it is cheap pos, like about every other jap car, 240sx, 350z, GTR, 300zx TT included. About the only Jap cars to have good build quality is a Lexus, These cars are #1 on customer satisfaction and they have the least amount of problems for their owners over any other car built. Thats not my opinion, thats a fact. don't get pissed someone said something back to you and run off like a sissy, thought you had better mental well being then that. When you let one shithead piss on your day, especially on the internet, I feel sorry for you. sorry if I've offended you, it wasn't meant to happen that way. But this is a forum for cars and debating on car vs car will happen. Everyone has their opinion, just cause you have yours or mine, doesn't make it the right one. the EVO is not a DSM either. thats Diamond Star Motors, or the Eclipse/Talon/Laser of 1st and 2nd generations respectfully. edit* also you might have owned more cars then me, but I seriously think I have driven 10x-20x more cars then anyone on this board. Now off to work I go at the transmission shop. I drive cop cars, corvettes, hondas, muscle cars, big ass trucks, turbo diesels, minivans, Camaro's, Mustangs, WS6 ls1's, 57 chevy, 68 Camaro, 67 Mustang, 12 second flat Grand National(how many of you have driven a car powered by a T76?), SVT Lightning, Impalas, and about any other POS you can imagine. If a type of car isn't brand new, I 've probably driven it. That Grand National is the fasest car I've ever driven, it is literally just slam on the throttle, watch the speedo move unbelievebly, and hold the fuck on lol. The cars I have the most fun driving are police cars. I was rather displeased with the performance of the WS6 LS1 firbird. Muscle Cars are big old dogs, don't let anyone tell you it will outhandle your imports lol..... I just worked on a 67 Mustang and an old Monte Carlo with a suped up v8. The Mustang was stock 289 and i think a minivan will hand it its ass, that Monte Carlo, don't know which year but fairly old was also fairly slow, probably a 16 second car, it had a new carb, intake manifold, headers, no cats, catback flowmaster exhaust system(looked like a factory job, mandrel bent and all, before that was a custom crush bent setup from block huggers to where cats were. I love working on cars, I get to drive all sorts of cars all day long and I get a good idea on what is really fast, how it handles, brakes and what cars I like and would like to own. 240sx is pretty damn fun to drive stock compared to most of the cars i've driven there. |

The fact is the WRX is new, has a warranty, and has creature comforts. You guys dont understand not everyone wants a full on track car. Some people will have familys too. My cousin almost bought a 98 S14, but he has a kid, so he needs to dump a baby seat somewhere. Bottom Line: Respect both cars, theyre both powerhouses. Close this thread Brian, its far more LUDACRIS than any shit fights I started P.S. Grand National owns all of you. Its not even funny how fucking fast they are. I was in a stock one...Dayna, or anyone else whos driven the WRX knows after 3k rpm you get knocked back in your seat...This thing is full on fucking power. If I had the money, I could safely say I would buy one...and take it drifting
