i've read that 6 psi to 8 psi is about the most boost u can do with stock internals. but thats not bad considering the KA has a longer stroke than the SR, which means it will spool up any turbo faster than the SR will. BUT, when pieces are longer like that, they tend to be a tad weaker. which is why you should probably get some beefed up rods aswell, and shot-peen and bull-nose, the crankshaft and heat-coat it so its lighter and stronger, and cuts thru the oil better, alowing the engine to make its way thru the gears faster. i believe the intake manifold is what keeps the engine from breathing well, but with a turbo and a custom intake plenum, you could put on an infiniti j30 (i think its the j30, or m45, not sure) throttle body, which is larger than the KA throttle body, and put that on the plenum, and have all cylinders get some massive air. im not sure about any other trannies for the KA. i dunno if it came FWD in any trucks (no, thats not a diss to the KA :P) but other than that, the KA tranny seems to hold up well. its not like a honda tranny, they arent built to whitstand all the torque nissans throw at their trannies. that doesnt meant hondas cant handle it, but nissan is just better at handling that kinda torque. your tranny should be fine with a servicing from a local shop, and have a tranny rebuilder inspect it if u really wanna make sure.

KA trannys tend to have sloppy shifters, so i've heard.

mine does. hopefully a B&M shortshifter does the trick

soyo- you need a lot more than just a turbo and an IC to turbo a naturally aspirated car. also, how can u recommend a turbo to him without even knowing his plans. he wanted a supercharger, so that means he probly doesn't want to wait for boost. size of turbo depends on what his max hp plans are.

B&M supposedly feels like a Honda S2000, which is regarded as the best shifter on any car. its like a rifle bolt clicking into place.
