Saleen with big balls

Okay probly gonna get flamend for this but...

I think that Saleens are overdone with that gaudy body kit, and underpowered because I've raced a Mustang with a Saleen bodykit on it(musta been a V6 in disguise, huh? ). Maybe if Saleen had a subtler look and more power, it would earn my respect.

Damn, I think Saleen's are sexy looking. That obviously must have just been some fool with a base model mustang and a Saleen body kit. But hey, it's your preference.

Tha only way to tell a reg. mustang from a saleen.A saleen has a id. number on the front headlight on tha driver's side. Saleens are some the rarest cars around. But tha 1999 S351 is tha sickest mustang over built. The Windor 351 and a special twin-screw supercharger.Making a ground pounding 495hp@5200 and 490lbs@3200 that's bad ass. 6 speed and a rumble that wakes tha dead.



At just over 3800lbs and making that much power. Name one car faster under 55 grand. This car wasn't cheap.

I'm sure you can get a car to run under 12s for cheaper with some mods. You can probably buy a car used for $5-$10,000 (maybe a Camaro? ). We'll say $10,000 though. Throw in a $20,000 engine. (super top of the line one Might not even be that much.) Thats only $30,000 now. That leaves $25,000 for turbos/superchargers, N20, other upgrades.

Heck, i talked to a guy who had a convertible. And old crappy looking one. He couldn't of paid more then $15,000 for it because the motor was shot. He bought an engine for $10,000 and was able to make it produce about 700hp without a turbo or anything special like that. He was working on trying to get the power to the ground when i was talking to him

But i'm guessing your talking about cars coming from the factory like that. I personally can't think of any But i'd rather work on my car to get it to do fast times rather then it come like that. You'll have more satisfaction and pride in the car

I bet I could get a vinyl guy, or a paint guy to put an i.d. on a regular mustang by the driver's side headlight. Not being a dick, just telling you that there are plenty of ways to fake it. I know of one guy in St. Louis that did just that to a V6 stang. Went around like he was tough shit until I pulled up next to him...

Yes, totally true! I read an article about a guy who had an 87 LX, then worked though Steve Saleen, to produce an exact replica of a Saleen, right down to the ID # on the bumper.

What. You got to be kidding me. Small gains over GT's. What kind of Saleens have you been around. Of course the base saleen is nothing; but tha 365hp saleen281 and the 445hp281E. Then you have the granddaddy of all tha 1997-1999 saleen351 S/C pushing out 495hp. You call that small gains. If any body with a f body or import with exerience racing a saleen a real saleen. Feel free to let me know. I like imports and I know that not all saleen are super fast. Let me know the results of racing a saleen

If you look at all those imports with all them body kits and ask them why? Because we all know about aerodynamics and downforce. While power is a big thing with saleens. You must have raced a base saleen.

But if add his big brothers in its adifferent story.

Z06's are fast I give Chevy that.
I agree tha Z06 is a light car and better handler.
Also you can get a 03 Cobrafor 35,00-38,00.Or Saleen 281-E for the same price of a Z06. I'm not saying that tha 03 Cobra can beat tha vette but it will be a geat race.

Dude, let him say what he's got on his mind. He said it's what he THINKS, he wasnt saying it like it's fact or it's the law or anything of that nature, it's only his opinion. Dont be going and disrespecting someone over something like that because there's no sense in it. I dont think he said one thing that was insulting in there or disrespectful to the car. So he says he THINKS they are underpowered, which is his opinion on the matter, who are you to say "somebody shut this little boy up please." Last time I checked you aren't God and had no right to try and silence his freedom of speech. Not everyone is gonna like the Saleen's looks, so dont go blowing smoke up their behind if they say they think it is overdone.
