for those who do or know stuff about custom bodywork, is urethane hard to mold? i heard it is because its like rubber, but the white car with the molded sides looks really really nice and i see no flaws(probably cause the cars white, and white hides everything)

Does anyone know how is that rear end made,
Cause he shaved the lower part of the trunk so it seems
that just the window part is opening like the 5th gen HB has...

Re: Pics Of Shaved ...

its going to be champ white. and i didnt have to shave the side moldings because the kit i have is similar to the wings west, it has sideskirts that cover the molding area, and door caps that cover the molding area. and the sideskirts and door caps are being molded in. so i guess in a long roundabout way, yes, i did shave the side molding.

i promised the side molding to ami, but since i never have time to go ship them, they sit in my garage. all the work i do on my car happens at night, so i think imma have to find a night UPS place.

if you look at your stock hatch, you will see that the actual latch mechanism is close to the glass, and then the filler piece that says "civic" is below it. so you could chop the whole filler piece section off, and still have the ability to latch the hatch. my guess is he did that, and then made a sheet metal piece to completely fill the three piece tail section in, and then just cut the shape of the teg tails into the sheet metal.

THNX for quick answer

I was thinking in that way too, that he did something simular like you said,
I have some parts from 5th gen civic HB also that rear end maybe I can use that if I'll do that kind of rear end...I like that rear so much so prolly I'll go for that kind of conv. sometime in future...
