Dear Chris:

Thank you for visiting the Subaru Web site and for your inquiry. The WRX does
not come equipped with a CVT - continuous variable transmission. The WRX is
equipped with VTD - Variable Torque Distribution. For more information on VTD,
please visit our Web site again. Once on our home page, select the 'All-Wheel
Drive' option, then the 'Full-Time Four Wheel Drive' option. If you scroll down
a little, you will find information on the All-Wheel Drive System offered with
the '02 WRX models with automatic transmissions.

Thanks for the opportunity to be of assistance. Best wishes!!

John J. Mergen

There you have it, right from the horses mouth. Don't know where you heard CVT from with Subbies, though.
