you could pick up a decent SC300 for around 5000 and put in the 1JZ-GTE ( it didnt come with a 2JZ and the 2JZ is apparently a harder swap) for about 2000 not including shipping and you'd be able to kick some ass and take some names
Anyhoo the Altezza in super street had Altezza badges because it actually was an Altezza but once agian SS proved its gayness by calling it 3S-GTE powered when it had an RB26 - thats not an easy mistake to make either. |

Dang, a 1JZ-GTE powered SC300. Yet another one of the dozens of cars I'd have in a perfect world. Now I guess I have to start learning Toyota stuff too. haha
The IS300 I was referring to actually is an IS300. I'm sure there have been a few in Super Shit but the one I was thinking of was a '01 IS300. SS did mistake the engine for a 2JZ because it's supposedly in the works, but it was an IS not a Altezza. It was the gold one. |

not sure how we got into the cars an engines in this thread...
but my take on badges is if you have the engine you claim to have with the badge go for it, personally I prefer to just remove the badges and people really won't know what my car is.

speaking of lexus w/ 1jz. a good (older) friend of mine has a toyota soarer. hes talking about selling it 9incase any of you have alot of money lying around. itz here in fresno and legal too. car is badazz!

iono i think ive seen it before around KIyoshi's... i am not sure but correct me if im wrong but isn't it an automatic??? if it is a manual tranny right on... if it aint... just as good... its still kickin ass...

In times when most people were going for big blocks one of the best Fbody engines was right under their noses, but they didn't like it for its small displacement. Have no fear though the Chevy 302 was only used on the 1st generation z-28's, it was a designed racing engine and is stronger then the other engines of the time. They used it in Trans Am racing among others and its basically a homogolation special. They were built in low numbers too, so if you ever stumble accross one, almost buy it just for the investment lol. |
