Damn, I hate to disappoint you but... it's really the jpg compression I'm afraid. I painted the interior with "plain" matt red paint...

Beautiful work!!!

Lotus always look good on green (metallic isn't my favorite but yours made me change my mind a little)

I'll use your work for referance when I get to make mine.

thats a nice car you've built.

I love it! I really like the way you made the engine look "dirty"

is that metallic paint on the engine? What kind? it's really nice you cannot see any flakes.

The engine has been painted in 4 major colors : matt green for the engine block, haze grey for the gearbox, semi gloss black for the oil pan and flat aluminium (Tamiya XF-16) for the engine cover. I suppose that is the color you are reffering to? Also I blackwashed the completed engine with Tamiya's Smoke X-19 and then I drybrushed it very subtle with Silver Leaf.

Because they often are, and I kinda like it that way. Seems that it's safer with a yellow nose... Why? Beats me. Maybe it's easier to estimate the distance to the front of the car?

Thumbs up

I have never been more amazed by a model than I am now. Absolutely stunning, just perfect.

Btw, is the wood effect on the steering wheel also just JPEG compression?

Outstanding work, the attention to detail is amazing. That engine looks like it's actually been used!

I look forward to your progress on the Focus WRC, I'm another person with this kit in the to-do pile.
