i just think it's really funny that although you guys all seem to hate super street and this ricky chu fellow, but you guys seems to always get quite worked up every single F**kin time either of the two is mentioned. if you guys seriously hate this guy, then why the hell are you hanging off every single word that enters that "god forsaken" magazine.

the more i browse the 240 forums here, the more smack talking i see. and i've heard every single response you can dish at me. after browsing the internet, it seems like this forum hates on people the most. NOT every other 240sx forum out there acts like some of you do. other forums are actually quite nice to people who want to learn, even if they ask "newbie" questions. and NO, i won't leave these forums cuz i've grown to love AF, even if i disagree w/ some people.

if you were offended by my post, by all means delete it or watever. just my opinion, i didn't post this to influence anyone or to offend anyone. you can flame me all you like, cuz honestly it doenst matter. my 2 cents, u can take it or leave it.

oh by the way, i like super street. i've been an avid reader for 5+ years. i think their articles aren't written to be taken so seriously. just trying to lighten people up. take a hint. i know this post is long and i sound like a whiney little bitch, but yea i had to vent.

you're subject to your own opinion, but i seriously think it's a good magazine to read. not every automotive enthusiast magazine has to be full of facts and technical stuff. i know my previous post makes me sound like an ass, but thats just my opinions about some people around here. thanks nsx for not taking it offensively (at least i dont think you did)

We are concerned and posting because the articles and quotes in question are directly related to our way of life. and our prefered mode of high-speed transport.. it is the ignorance from someone who doesn't know, conveying his false advise/knowledge onto people who will believe him...all the morons out there who think that if they find it on the internet, or in a magizine it must be gospel... wonder how many MORE Sr20 swaps were inspired by his article... too bad they are all slower... than my N/A "Ka truck motor"... or whatever.

If the article was about a west african albino monkey mating with a south african gorilla I would be like who cares, I know nothing about it, but i guess that is cool.... unbeknownst (sp) to me, it didn't or couldn't happen..

His credibility is down the tubes, superstreet is a few notchs back from the tabloids at this point.

Ricky Chu is full of shit. He doesnt know shit about real racing or real race cars. The KA is a fine motor and theres nothing wrong with racing it. I race my STOCK ka and it handles a racing environment just fine (constant high rpms, constant banging against the redline, high engine temperatures, etc.).

Perhaps, but the articles of a magazine represent the opinions and viewpoints of the magazine staff.

As far as super street goes, I really havent noticed much super street bashing outside of this thread. I HAVE noticed, however, that this article proves that super street is full of shit. If they did not want him to be taken seriously, then they would have made it apparent. This article is in very bad taste.

BTW, I do not subscribe to super street. The only auto magazines i get are grassroots motorsports and Road & Track. I occaisionally pick up SCC because I have found their writers to be very knowledgeable about handling mechanics and performance tech.

subscribe.. what a waste of money lol. first issue i bought was about a week ago. the only reason i got it was because they had a 180sx and a silvia s15 on the front and they did look pretty cool.

i got really worked up when i read the whole thing like 2 weeks ago. however, i never decided to post it up on the forums becsaue i figured that its useless info and would cause alot of flaming. but anyhow, his S14 barely puts down 250 hp at the wheels. and when they had a turbo 240 showdown like 2 years ago, the white 97 KA-T made more power then his precious SR, even after he cranked up the boost.
