It's really not that hard to swap out deck, and it doesn't take long. If you own both already, which I seem to gather that you do, my is look at both decks. First, which has the features you perfer and that are more important to you. Second, which looks better, which do you perfer using, button layout, etc. If you want a black deck to match the interior and the alpine is black, will it annoy you to have a silver panasonic (which it sounds like you don't really like) in there insteas of the black apline? Then put in whichever you perfer. If that means putting in the Alpine, go ahead, it's not that hard. It sounds like you prefer the alpine, and if thats the case, just have it installed, becuase its not that hard at all. I haven't seen the 2 decks, but if it where some of the panasonics I've seen around here or my current deck, I' have mine put back in for sure. I guess it depends on how much you perfer that deck, because I know people how would just keep the deck that came in the car because it's not worth the trip and half hour to have their other deck put in.
