ok, here's someone who really read the comic of takumi racing bunta.

It is an early morning, takumi delivering tofu using the mountain roads, and he just won a professional driver by luck.

Out of a sudden, an imprezza sti appeared in his rear, at that time, he didn't know who's driving, but readers should be able to guess it's bunta.

So, takumi decided not to give way, because his passion, and mood for racing is still on since yesterday's race.

He steps on the throttle, and the imprezza follows tightly.

After tackling a couple of corners, he felt the amazing power of the car, and the unbelievable skill of the driver, so he decided to slip his tires into the asphalt.

At the very moment, the imprezza did exactly the same thing. At the same speed, they accomplished the corner, and while takumi took the exit, he understeered a little, which i dont even consider it as a mistake, and bunta overtook from the inside. ohhh.....did i mention easily?

and you see the imprezza takes full throttle and acc all the way, leaving the 86 in it's dust.

I wouldn't go so far to call it a race, more like an unofficial challenge.

Yeah, thats what happened, later on the story, Bunta calls the shop that he was test driving the car from and says "Ill take it" or something similar, its in the manga, this is right before the race with the AE85 and the S15

D you actually own Special Stage or are you just guessing?
You play from Takumi's perspective, then as the Akagi Redsuns, the last few missions are played with Project D, if you dont understand Japanese I dont recommend that you buy it, as half of the game is all cutscenes with no subtitles (each mission has its own objectives, if you understand em, sucks for you. its not just about passing)

Re: Re: Bunta Vs. Takumi

Ok, ok
The only way you can get the full manga is a scanlation, TokyoPop only has released about 4 Volumes...
The things i pull from the manga are far into Project D, and I dont think TokyoPop has gone even as far as beyond the AE85 race...

And yes Bunta gets a Impreza WRX STi Type R (GC8), he lets Takumi drive for a while, and then Takumi rejects it because he doesnt like it...

well.......some people can understand japanese. It's no like its a laguage that nobody can speak.Plus, there are translations out on the net...although they are very very hard to find.I myself am still looking for them.

I have the manga but would like translations for them.Seeing as how i can understand japanese but not read, it's a problem. Also, the pictures are pretty straightforward in telling the story.
