You're a frikkin moron if you believe i/h/e/tb will add up to 35 hp on a N/A sohc. Even if they're the absolute best parts in the universe, it's impossible to add that much horsepower on a stock Civic EX engine.

These parts don't even "add" power, they free up power the engine can provide as it is. What I'm saying is if you took off the intake, header and exhaust from the engine completely and ran headerless, and added this retarded website's logic to it, it would be 160hp. I can't believe I'm even arguing this, it's so stupid! A base turbo kit adds around 50-60 horsepower, do you really think a few pipes which are about 5mm-10mm wider will add more than half of what forced induction will??? My friend had an aem cai, DC header, and Greddy exhaust. All top notch kits, and it added 18 horsepower at the flywheel.

Do me a favor, go buy all these extraterestrial parts and slap them on your car, then upload the dyno sheet. I would LOVE to see your response when you see what they realistically added. Websites like this will of course post higher numbers to get you to buy their parts... just a thought. In example, that little wind tunnel part that goes in between your throttle body and intake manifold which spirals incoming air claims to gain up to 10 hp. My buddies at the shop ordered one, dynoed the car and didn't even gain half a horsepower.

I know you WANT to believe these parts will add that much because they are so expensive, and while driving with them installed you will mentally believe your car is faster, but the sad rotten truth is it will still be a slow civic with a louder fart.

"some guy"??? I've seen the dyno results on many different cars with many different parts, I've driven the cars before and after, and you still don't believe me. Why are you even here? Go dig through your websites if you don't believe what we say on this forum. But please, please post your dyno results to complete this thread.

i've seen dyno results on many different intakes, both short ram and cold air intake.. most of them that claimed a "5-10hp increase" were, and you better belive it, low in the rpm range.

Basically, they do add 5-10hp, but its just not to the peak number. they add 5-10hp to around 3500rpm which is commonly called the "AEM hump".

With a cold air intake you will gain 5-10 hp, and mad torque, there's no doubt about that. But headers will give about 5, and exhaust about 5. We're talking about a sohc here, there's 15-20 hp which is what I said. On a dohc civic like the Si or Type R I could see a 20-31hp increase.

ricochet you are seriously wasting your time. this has to be one of the most stubborn, ignorant people i have ever met(regarding substance). you are such an idiot man. go ahead believeing that have 30hp from those mods. why dont you get a dyno done and prove us wrong? because your beloved site is soooo trustworthy they must be right. i mean they dont just want to sell parts to people right?

you know all those magazines people read like turbo and super street? they get payed by big name companies to post insane hp numbers by using their parts. they might be a "trusted" magazine and they may "know a lot about cars" but that does not mean they can not be bought. if you truly believe you have 35hp fomr just those mods then throw on a exhaust and you should have almost the same hp i have because exhaust adds like 40hp right? then come and race me. lets see what your bolt on hp does against my fully built engine. i spent over 4 grand on my engine and youre going to tell me that you have almost the same hp in a sohc motor with bolt ons?

man i would love to do this to you.... i cant stand stubborn people like you.

Amen. Oh wait I can see his response now, "It was on a website so it has to be true, you're lying." I bet he believes an aluminum wing makes his civic handle better too...
