H rated tires are only rated to 130, if that. So the factory put a limiter there to reduce liabilty. The GSX came with better tires (and lower gearing) so it doesnt have the limit. Mitsu knows that some toolbox will take the car over 130 on H rateds, blow one up, hit the wall, and sue them

Yes, but that depsnds on your rev limit ;o) I think 180 assumes a 8k rpm revlimit. Also, there are some 5th gears made by TRE that are good to over 200 mph. Top speed isnt really my bag, but a taller 5th might get my gas mileage back over 25 again.
