So overall in final price, what would the price difference be in buying a ZC DOHC and having it professionally installed compared to the stock one i have either being rebuilt or getting a new 1.6 SOHC d16a6???

haha just went through this! the cost to rebuilt the bottom end the right way ends up being well over 800 bucks! just the rebuild, not pulling the engine, in your case having some one else rebuild it, and then putting the engine back in... i called honda up just for shits and giggles to see what they charged to rebuild a bottom end, close to 3 grand haha, while a zc engine shipped from cali to PA is only 705 bucks, and then the new gaskets and belts blah blah blah... so yeah its cheaper to go zc...

Rod bearing. Get rid of the enigne. A engine rebuild isn't worth it

yea rod bearings will make that tick noise also, dont even bother to fix it, it aint worth it.
