The "Hillbilly" you speak of is Gus Mahon if I do belive. And the vehicle in question is "Mean Mini". He's in my Turbo Dodge club. That's nothing. We have another guy that has a daily driven 10, yes 10 sec. Reliant with an AUTO trans!(at least it was last time i saw it.) It runs 10.9@130mph. Awesome times yes?

Not all Dodge stuff from the 80's was unreliable. My 87 Pacifica died with 200,000 miles on the odometer and had the living crap beat out of it religiously. Most of my turbo Dodges went more than 175,000 with no major probs. They do require more meticulous maintenance though..

In my original post I said the numbers were good for "it's day," referring to the Spirit R/T. I must have been crazy, those numbers are scorching, even for now, eleven years later.

Yeah the Spirit RT was a fast car and still is. Hell 224HP and I am not sure if the torque, but it was the same powerplant and drivetrain as the Iroc Daytona. Plus you wouldn't get tagged with sporrt car insurance.
