Thanks for posting that kris. I was going to go looking for Jay's car soon to post here. I guess he didn't read the link about Ryans old 292hp at the wheels. Should have just pointed it out. Yeah I know that article is hopelessly out of date.

I can't argue with that! Sure you could give my vette a run for its money, may even blow me away! But how much did you spend on that turbo i cant tell is their a second one as well?

Nope just one big ass turbo. Where do you think you see a second one? Twin-turbos on a 4 are a waste of time, energy and not very effeicent.

The F-max stage II kit on there is about $6k I think then he had a couple other things done to it and a lot of blood sweat and tears. I don't remember the final price.

I see one in the front, but it also appears to be one running behind the engine as well. Im not really into to turbos so that other tube in the rear may just be the air induction system i dont know?

So where is that 500HP dyno on a Neon? I think he misplaced the decimal point. 50.0 hp is probably what it said.

for the guy w/ the vette...
who cares what you run, and i bet for what some of these guys pay for their car w/ mods to beat you, you paid for your car.

i dont want to flame you, but who cares about how much we have , if all it is gonna do is fuel your v8 is better fire?

why even respond unless it is to correct your backwards thinking on this? and dont we all know that it is about power to weight?

and hell, your technology is from the fifties, most of the 4 cyl tech is from the last ten yrs. that is why most of these guys can spend what you did, on half the motor and kick v8 ass.
and i have no probs w/ v8s. but dont come putting down a 4 cyl and then not know what an intake manifold is...

do the research to see what kind of response you should get before you come in here and talk your shit and act like god...

oh, a twin turbo vette with mild, and i mean mild boost will push out 500... the average tt vette though, will be pushing closer to 700...
lingenfelter for example...

Imagine how the thing handles with those tires...

And it would be hell slow with only 400HP and it weights ALOT!

In New Zealand old Vette's fetch as much money as a R32 GTR.. so as for price

Quote:
This is my baby im talking about the vette not the van! rebuilt 350/750 4 barrell carb/edlebrock intake manifold/shift kit/hooker headers/turbo 400 tranny. 370bhp, 360ft/lbs torque!
you have still spent abit of cash on it there buddy... $1000 probably not.

New Nissan VE engine. 1800 SR20VET, Awesome little engine.

1600 SR20VE N1 close to 200HP stock.

Ok. Wheres that dyno sheet? Your bluff has been called. It would be nice if you appologized for pulling the BS or produce some evidence. You can hold onto the dream that you have 500hp and that the world is flat all day long, but outragous claims require strong evidence.

I am still waiting for you to answer my questions. I have only seen a few 500+ HP 2.0 or 2.2L cars and they were for setting land speed records. They are only good for a straight line run. A 500+ HP 2.0L Neon would not be a daily driver. So once again what did you do to your frame, transaxle, and transmission to keep the power from tearing them apart? And what abou the engine, a stage V on a 2.0L is risky, so what did you do to the engine to keep from blowing that?

We want proof.
