I find out on Friday if the box totalled it, by the way... I'll keep you posted.

If my car DOES turn out totalled, it gets filed under weirdest totals EVAR.

I was only 15 when I bought my Escort, so I just rode shotgun while dad drove. Had it for a few hours (to take to a friend of mine who's a Ford mechanic to look it over, get friend's approval, etc) before buying it.

The Sentra came in as one of the used cars at the dealer I was working at last summer, so I, assistant lot bitch being one of my many various duties, drove it around quite a bit before I even thought about buying it.

I bought my car a week before I even drove it

I traded in my 93 Escort for the Neon. I swung the deal on a Saturday, the car wasn't on the lot at the time. [insert long-ass drama story here]. The following Friday it arrived at closing time and I drove it for the first time and took it home. I had already driven Neons before so I pretty much knew how it would perform

Well honeslty it was a done deal before I even got behind the wheel for the first time. I went out for about a 20 km test drive in the rain!

You've gotta love it when a car lot trusts you that much

I'm already ready to buy a new car this Saturday after only a cursory test-drive around the block.

Just bought another Yugo - I didn't realize it then because it was sitting 2' high grass - but somebody made off with the rear wheels!!! So my $50 farm field find is going to have to wait until I locate a couple Yugo wheels. (or FIAT wheels)

Damned if I know - but I know I wouldn't have paid $50 for if I had known it then.
