update....
So after work tomorrow (yes I work on Saterday), I am going to jump in the car and drive 15 hours to Georgia. I am finally buying a 240sx.
I originally posted asking which to buy... '95 with 130k, for $4500 or... '98 with 108k, for $7000. Sounds like the most people agree that the '95 was the better way to go. I agree... so I tried to work a deal with the dealership that has it. But, they were DICKS... They wanted to 100% payment in advance, non-refundable. I told them I would give them like $500 non-refundable to hold the car, but I have to see it, and drive it before I commit to more. They said "tough luck". So I said.. (In my best Eric Cartman impression) "Screw You Guys". So I start looking again, and found an even better deal. '96 Black 240sx (base model unfortunately). 89k miles, no roof, but it does have power windows, locks, cruise, etc... plus a hefty aftermarket stereo system. No ABS either... too bad, I will have to buy an LSD setup some time in the future. He's even got the suspension modded already. Asking price $4000. I talked him down to $3600, but I have to get there ASAP to pick it up. So. ROAD TRIP!!!. I am pretty excited. Thought I would share. Thanks again for the advice. I am sure I will be asking more of it in the next months and years to come. Seth
