I'm saying buy the stuff for the swap... like fit an integra CAI onto my engine so that I have an intake and then it will be ready to throw onto the swapped b18 when I get it b.c its the CAI for that engine (EDIT: obviously this will onyl work for the CAI)

The only problem with that would be if you were going to buy a GSR motor because then you would not be able to fit the intake manifold end of the intake on your manifold. The B16A CAI would work fine though.

I'm actually doing a b18b, but I'm assuming its the same... is there any way I could just go to the hardware store and buy a diff nossle for the intake? I'm really keen to get this stupid PVC piping outta my engine compartment

hey, hey. i helped put that pos PVC in there! lol. yea from what i learned back when i was reading up on h22 swaps you buy the intake for the engine and the exhaust for the body. if you buy the intake for the body it will probably still work, but it wont give as much power (diff intake manifolds, like you said). and i think you get the header for the body as well...

"A SOHC header will not fit a DOHC." i read it just fine - i was spouting out what i remembered reading. im not saying its right, as i havent done a swap... so now im just asking for my own benefit: what does the cam(s) have to do with the header? i figured that the header was considered part of the exhaust system. ::shrug::

The head just makes sense it would go with the engine... it doesn't really interact with the body much... I've heard you may have to do some custom work between the header and the cat-back to get it all to meld correctly...

BTW: You lie, you had didn't do didly with this intake All my intakes have been Mike-Dustin Danger Duo
