great job on this one zoomzoom the transkit application looks very clean... esp. the front bumper. good job

Thanks! I did such an incredibly sloppy job cutting off the front and rear bumpers that I ended up totally redoing the panel lines. I ground out a deep trough, filled the area w/putty and smoothed it, then started scribing all-new panel lines in the puttied areas. It really wasn't difficult nor all that time consuming. Paying attention to these areas paid off-the bumpers and rockers look like they were molded to the car by Tamiya.

that's a good idea! i've always had trouble re-scribing panels and could not for the life of me figure out why... and after reading this, you've allowed me to figure out that it was the interface between the putty and the plastic that gave me all those headaches! great job and thanks for the tip!

Menaged to catch this the other night on the message board,while AF
was down..
Like the way you recovered the front end(joining panels).Your explanation of the procedure will no dought help out a few who find themselves in the same situation.
I'm quite sure,if you had not mentioned it,none of us would have
guessed..... again,great work.
