Quality work, you sure build quick. Looks great, the Ebbro kit seems really nice, with some superb detail straight from the box..

Re: 1967 Lotus 49 - 1/20

Cheers Steve,

Yeah the quality has surprised me and I am very happy it is as good as it is. Makes for an enjoyable build and this is one kit I have wanted to have on the shelf for quite some time.

A bit more progress tonight again. Gearbox and suspension is on, all that is left now is the mirrors, front nosecone and the finishing touches on the pipes and it's good to go

Re: 1967 Lotus 49 - 1/20

Wow looks great..!! Always liked this car, really has a nice look about it and Ebbro have captured it very well. I bought a 1/18 scale die cast of this car many years ago, can't remember the exact brand, but it's really nicely finished and very well detailed. The only reason that I haven't bought the Ebbro kit to be honest...

Re: 1967 Lotus 49 - 1/20

The car has finally been finished. A couple of the last WIP shots, front cowling was finished up with the kit-supplied decal, I was prepared to paint it however with a good 30 minutes and plenty of Microsol the decal conformed quite nicely.

Overall it was a very fun build and has come out better than I had expected.

That 49 turned out beautiful! Thanks for sharing your experience. I think I may just have to tackle this kit myself.
