when our actions affect you in some way, then you can come crying back to these boards, no way am i paying someone 100+ bux to suck some refrigerent out of my car, when he will just turn around and use it in someone elses car at cost. thats just shady to me, i dont like shady people, or dishonest people for that matter.

h4bangin, why don't you look at what you just said, "get off ur lazy broke ass", he could say the same thing right back to you all for not going and having your A/C discharged professionally. Have you ever been to Hawaii? Im sure they are not all tree huggin hippies, but they do watch what they do. Hawaii looks much better than any place I have been too on the mainland. Just let this arguement go, if you want to just discharge your A/C by yourself, go for it, whatever.

damn, forgot about york there, still thought you were messin with civickiller, couldn't have left him hanging.

And melt, yes I have been to Florida, wasn't as great at Hawaii. The pics you see of Florida are of the nice spots, which isn't everywhere. Hawaii is about the same all around the place.

tony got the back. thanks.

u know if it was only 1 person discharging there ac it wouldnt be so bad. but u say oh my 1 isnt gonna make a difference right, well if u got 1 million people saying oh my 1 isnt gonna make a difference right so why not do it. then u got 1 mill ac's being discharged then it makes a differences, so your one is just adding to the other numerous people who think there 1 isnt gonna make a difference.

think about it.

and if i could afford an electric car i would buy one, but i cant, so i drive a very fuel effcient honda, i still got my cat. its not like im runnin a straight pipe or anything.

yeah hawaii is nice, its about the same all around. but ive never been any place else so i got no comparison. in my town we got some mean vogged air. we get the air brought by the winds, from the active volcano. sulfur dioxide, u would see how clean it is after it rains and how dirty it is on an average day. on a clear day u can see about 3 other islands, on the dirty days, its hard to see a huge island 30 miles away, its really bad probably close to cali's air, but my town is the only one like that in hawaii

There was an earlier thread where CRXlvr didn't know anything about changing a clutch.
Now, it turns out he doesn't know there's a $25,000 fine for a licensed mechanic who dumps the freon out into the atmosphere.
I don't think he's really a licensed mechanic. If he is, he's professionally ignorant.

not to step on anyones toes ...

but the poplution problem of this planet is only really starting to take off in the last 100 years ... so if you think that your minor 1/2 oz of freon isnt going to do anything, thats exactly what everyone before you said. So please have a care. Frankly, your probly right it wont effect you but dont think it will take a thousand years for the problem to get bad, try something more like another 100. And dont even try to get on me for doing shit to my car to polute cause im in CA and they dont let shit slide here.

im mearly pointing out that ignorance is bliss ...

BTW florida is only nice cause they still have the everglades central to their state, if they deforested most of it like in CA then it wouldnt be so nice. The occasional hurricane and tornado and shit help to keep it clean too.

how do you expect us to get on you for doing shit to your car when its stock other than the sohc zc

Even I have dumped this shit into the air (on accident) I have blown 2 a/c compressors, each time leaked 1.9 lbs of r134a out.

find a post where i said anything bout changing clutchs, i dont drive one, never worked on one, so no i dont know how to do it, but im sure i could figure it out, i wouldnt give anyone false info tho.

as far as the mechanic thing, yes i am certified and i know its illegal to do it, but your 25,000 fine will be imposed onto a business if a mechanic is caught on the job doing it, not someone out in his backyard.

know your information before you post some bullshit like that again.
