I'll let threads ride sometimes. But like someone said previously there is a line. Sometimes we have to draw it. I will close one that is flamatory, pornographic or something not appropriate. I closed a few today where they just wanted to announce that they reached xxx amount of posts. Not that it's wrong, just don't see the need to announce the amount of posts. I tend to be flexible when I exercise my mod duties.

i just hate it when i go to a thread read it, then want to respond and it's closed
 :usually if it makes sense i don't care, it's the right thing to do.... I just don't like it if they come in, in the middle of conversation and go "okay, this conversation is done" and close the thread :most of the time it's cool though
