Re: 1993 Nissan Skyline GT-R r33

Last update, as this model has been completed last night.

I lost the right side mirror. I was cleaning the body under running water... with the mirrors on it (yap, Iīm that stupid). I thought "this is dangerous..." and 5 secs after that I hit the mirror and it went wherever water goes...
As soon as my Vertex S15 kit arrived I picked the stock mirrors for use on the R33. Here are the minor mods to put the part in place.

How it looked like

Compared to the S15īs and the trimmed mirror spot

And how it should go

As I sprayed the clear (RustOleums Laquer) over the body, the paint crazed a bit in some places, but the upper wing was really messed up. No chance to paint it again, so a sanded down and cover with some Revell CF. I donīt know why, but even making some cuts on the lifted spots and adding tons of microsol, it ended up with some thicker lines. I thrown lakes of clear over it and put under heat and still ended up with irregularities. Fed up with the fight just stored it not to worry anymore about it. The following day I couldnīt find it, and after 30 mins searching for it I found the piece in the garbage, outside my house.

This project was meant to give me headaches.
- didnīt remove molding lines
- front roof pillars were already bent OOB
- bad sprue design from Fujimi and my dumbness reflected on some flaws all around
- lost a mirror
- almost lost the rear wing
- wingīs CF looks weird

Luckily, the model is finished and is looking quite decent on the shelf.
