remove the blower motor, check the connector/wires to it. look inside the duct for the resistors. with this model the blower motor not running is the motor is defective. use a jumper wire[s] and see if you can get it to run.......

The blower motor is blowing only out of the defroster, do you have any suggestions, still no cold AC. Please let me know if there is somewhere else to check. Thanks for all your help.

Most likely , your defroster mode door arm is dangling from actuator above gas pedal- from popping off it's axle (door) - look right above gas pedal- and put it back in place-and add some locktight if in doubt- go look at your neighbor's 94-98 GM truck..

Re: 97 siverado a/c problems

I have a question about a heater core, I had my truck parked outside and did not use it for a while, when I got inside to start it up, there was water moisture on the inside of my windshield. Is that a sign that my heater core is out?

the mositure issue may be a leaking windshield, also the air box ac drain may be plugged holding water inside of it.

Is there a way to drain the extra moisture out of the ac box? If so please let me know, thank you.

in the fire wall area passenger side there is a drain tube to drain the water . not easy to see . when you find it get a soft rubber hose 1/4 or 3/8 dia and stick in hole to loosen up any debris which you most likely have being this old .

The instrument panel cover needs to come off. It is a snap-in panel. Start at the top of the dash and work it out. Steering column needs to be in the full down position (if you don't have a tilt column, you may have to drop the column manually) and gear selector needs to be in the full down position (1st gear). Once that's done you will have to reach up behind the controller to release the holding tabs to remove it.

Hope this helps.
