Re: Nissan GTR

Hi, I now have the same kit + door transkit.
How did you add the red to the logo under the opened door?
Look at this picture, to know what I mean:

Re: Nissan GTR

Ah, thanks for the answer, though I hoped for a simpler way of doing that, the logo is f*cking small
Anyway, thanks and have a nice christmas

Hi, I have finally got to work on this beauty and I immediately stumbled to some questions:
Unfortunately there is no indication what to chop off from the original kit. Yeah, the doors, obviously, but then what else? The window, for sure, and the inner door frame from the kit.
But there is a bit more plastic on the side of the dashboard, that needs to be cut away, right? I cannot get the parts to fit together properly, so if you have some pics during your build process I will absolutely look forward to see them

Wow! I like this car and your model! Great job!

Advise: try to shoot models with maximum value "f." for better DoF.

hello, glad to hear that! you already mentioned those that needed to be cut, as for dash board, you are right, it need to be trimmed so that the inner door can be fit in, just sand it bit by bit untill it fit in nicely. WIP picture not much for this car, another thing to watch out is, dont bother trying the PE door hinge that provided with this transkit. it wont work! Rear seat panel, the back part after u separate from the interior door panel, that part need to be glue it to the body, not to the interor tub. hope can help, can shoot me more question anytime, i try my best to share it. all the best.

OK, I already figured out that I needed to sand away the parts left and right of the dash.
It now fits better
Is there a special reason why I should glue the rear door panels to the body instead of the tub? It fits quite well now.
What door hinge did you use to get it to work, if the PE doesn't?
And did you cut away material of the door underlay so the body can fit better? Fit is not that good at my model.
And what seems to be the case, the A-pillars seem to be bent inwards, how can I bend them outwards?
Thanks for your answers
