j/w...ur clutch is a ACT 6 puck set-up for DAILY driving? j/w why u went w/ that, then u don't really have any HUGE power that needs that heavy of a clutch. i looked at the puck designs, but they were pretty useless (an u can't feather them, making for harsh engagement), unless u were makin GOBS of power that would eat a stock clutch...

im not doubting ur car an wut u have at all (sorri if it sounds that way), im jus asking why u'd wanna get something like that, which would make daily driving a bitch. (as for the mustang, i understand that coulda jus been a typo, or u THOUGHT it was a 2000, but was really a 2001...etc..)
it was the new SVT. http://www.stangnet.com/specs/cobra2000.html The only reason why i went 6 puck, was i just threw a rod on the single cam and had to take out a loan for the SiRII motor. Believe me, i'll drop in a 3-puck clutch soon. And the 6 puck handled well but i would say for 2-3 months after the motor swap. I need another. the lesser the pucks the more quicker the engagement. Most people stall out when they drive my car. Even the people that did my motor swap stall out. LOL.

Then it wasn't an SVT. There are Civics out there that can beat them, but not like yours. They're significantly more powerful than you, which leaves a couple scenarios:
1)He wasn't racing. The thumbs up was sarcastic
2)It was just the SVT bodykit masking a V6 Stang.
3)He has serious mechanical problems. Even driver error wouldn't factor in for that.

Im with this guy... i drive a 91 hatch with d16z6 swap, with full interior it weighed in at 2180lbs w/o driver, i stripped out the rear seats and hatch area and some other small things, i think im pushing 2100lbs now, i'd like to know how you got rid of the 300 or so pounds that an EX has on a hatch...

well, the stock ex weighs about 2300-2400lbs.

i cant be exact with the weight of each part. but i'll list what i took off.

WHEN THE CAR WAS a D16Z6.

Spare Tire, Jack, The wood in the trunk, carpet in the trunk, trunk panels, back seats, back panels, all back seat-belt accessories, the carpet, all power steering components, all a/c components, stock header swapped for DC Sports 4-2-1 header, stock cat to exhaust, replaced with test pipe and tanabe hyper medallion exhaust, cut metal from under the hood, no passenger seat, no passenger side air bag, removed side impact bars inside the doors, and minus 12-18 lbs of tar that was underneath the carpet.

I still call BS on that figure, a B16 weighs about 100 pounds more than a d16z6, so your car is weighing in at about 2500lbs with b16 stock, i know the interior pieces dont weigh 400 lbs.. i'd say with that weight reduction you made, i'll guess you're pushiing 2300lbs MAYBE

go to a truckstop/dump/gas station and weigh your car on the truck scales, get a weigh slip, and post it. IM FROM MISSOURI, THE SHOW ME STATE.. SHOW ME.

Pretty good mods, you should get some ITR cams :P I imagine its pretty quick with all the stripping out, altho I wouldnt feed safe at all riding in that thing, it would probably crumple like a wad of paper in a wreck

I can guarantee that your car isn't that light since I have the exact same car and have taken it to truck weigh stations. I don't remember the exact # but it was no where near close. I do suggest that unless you only drive it on the track that you put all the safety equipment back. It is your choice, speed or safety, but I myself choose both.
