Yup, I've gotten it to 130MPH .... it does it with a good bit of ease. Considering I have no mods on it.

No 3rd gens do not weigh 4500lbs. That's like Caddy weight!

Most 3rd gens weigh around 3100 lbs. I have seen people weighing their cars at truck scales and getting under 3000 lbs. with full gear.

3rd gens are the cows of the maxima line. but i still love my cow!!
actually, 3rd gens are pretty much considered to be the purists generation for the maxima...IRS, low weight, good looks, good handling, sweet engine. don't flame me 4th genners, just say this cause for the 4th gen nissan cut a lot of corners, and this angered a lot of people

The 3rd gens can't be that heavy. One beat me freeway racing when I was in my beretta. My beretta is a little under 3000 lbs.

you're beating stags in a 160 hp max? r u 5 speed and do you have mods? cuz i smoked an auto 96 gt in my car but any other races with mustangs i had were either i barely pulled ahead or i got beat by like a car length. i never even tried racing a cobra or a 5.0. no need to prove what i already know. i'll lose

4 Speed auto... I have not had any problems with the stangs.... I have a K&N... 4 Prong Platinum spark plugs.... I've pretty much just gotten the thing so I'm still working on it and learning more about the engine... I know this much, it has in the console a Power/Comfort switch... when I flip it to power it shifts at 6200-6300 RPM's, other wise it shifts at 5800 floored... I doubt that V6 3000 is 160HP.... I know with the K&N it's more like 173 or something but it's suposed to be higher...

*Edit* The person who had it before me I heard he did some work the the engine... but I was never told what... there are no turbo's or a supercharger... so I can't think what else.

Those base model V6's and V8's.... I haven't gone up against a 5 speed... I can't find any around here... but they don't stand a chance... I know the drivers here suck for the most part... but damn.... they could do better than what they are now
