Re: Ford Escort RS1800

Fabricated carburetor linkage. The linkage attaches to the cylinder head so I must wait until everything is permanently installed the complete the rest.

How do you cut and shape the metal? I have tried before, but always bend the pieces.

Just noticed that the exhaust manifold is sitting too low on the block, rather than it being on the cylinder head.

You have attached it to where the core plugs are situated, other than that, the model so far is amazing .

Thank you for your interest.

The exhaust ports are on the very bottom of the cylinder head. Yes my header should be attached just slightly higher. However that would have necessitated making a custom built header. I'm pretty happy with the kit part header so I chose to make a small compromise.

Re: Ford Escort RS1800

I am trying to figure out the oil and fuel system plumbing. If any one has a diagram or information I would appreciate the help.

Re: Ford Escort RS1800

Added a remote oil filter from the parts box. Finally starting to look like a proper engine bay.

Re: Ford Escort RS1800

Thank you for the comments. they are greatly appreciated.

Here I have fabricated the fan. I think I am just about finished with the engine because I am running out of things to add to it.
