steering wheel take off

i need to know how to take the steering wheel off i got a jdm sir one and i need to take off my existing one. anyone know how it's done or how to get those damn screws off that the steering wheel is blocking that seem to hold it on?

There is a large hub nut behind the airbag that holds it in. Get a manual and make sure you follow all steps properly unless you want an airbag coming in your face at 60mph. It is really very simple to do.

have fun with those Torx screws holding the airbag assembly in place. I think they are a size 27 (correct me if Im wrong please, memory fails me) maranade those in PB bolt breaker er something then make sure the head is dry before you try to remove them. they strip easy and are really in there. I had to use my whole body weight to press into them while I CAREFULLY turned them.

just a warning. hopefully, yours wont be stuck like mine, but just in case.

well i got it off and everything is great. it took me 6 hours but i did it. lol. didn't need a steering wheel puller and i had to go buy the torx screw wrench thingy, got them off pretty easy. i had a hard time with trying take the abs hub off. cuz the jdm wheel doesn't have an airbag and it wouldn't fit unless i disconnected the abs wires and stuff.

good to hear. lucky bum, I had a hellofa time with those torx screws...maybe Im justa candy ass? who knows.

well i don't have a camera but the new wheel is the same one as in this car. i'm trying to get a camera but they're freakin expensive. and the only problem now is that my srs light is forever on. don't know how to fix that
