my me engine continues to confuse/upset me stranded with a code 3 anyone know??
k im telling you something is not right. i was on the freeway going about 65 miles per hour in 5th gear. i let off the gas and it didn't feel right i did this a couple of times and it just didn't feel right and my exhaust was making like a deep boggin sound. So i decide to pull over on the side of the freeway and check it out as soon as i start slowing down my check engine light came on. i pulled over and as i stopped i noticed smoke coming up from my shifter area so i check the computer and it was throwing a code 3 wich i just found out right now its the map sensor. doesn anyone know if this is big or if i might have damaged something. Im worried about the smoke that was coming up. but i waited about 30 minutes reseted my computer and drove home about 35 min. going about 50-55 mph. the car ran fine i didn't really push it though to test it out. but the engine code did not come back.
if anyone can please she'd some light on this MAP code i'd appreciate it. thanx.

The MAP sensor is your manifold absolute pressure sensor. Your computer uses it to meter the air/fuel ratio, so if it went, your car would not run properly. Get a Haynes manual for your car and follow the procedure for testing it. If it's bad, replace it. The sensor is not a major problem, but I am clueless about the smoke.

yeh if its the sensor.U shouldn't worry about it too much. have them check your car. It seems u be having alot of problems lately?
Do you have v-tec controller? That shit helps and get it tuned.

did you just slap on a VTEC HEad on that b20, or did you have it port matched and rebuilt bottom and top end correctly? cause that could ba a problemo also amigo.........

you know what that could be the case it was dark so i couldn't really tell. it seems to be running ok now. im gonna take it in just to make sure though.
