the reason why the hondata is better then the spoon ecu is because the hondata is tunable to your own car not some other pre-determined specs like the spoon. remember every car is different, you can get two carswith the the same mods and they won't put out the same numbers. it all depends on elevation, temperature, etc... spoon can tune the car in there shop and the ecu could put out good numbers but when you try to use the same specs they used with their ecu you might get a different result. basically get a hondata and have it tuned specifically for your car.
also when you add the hondata i thik it removes the revlimiter and you have to set it with the hondata anyways and it comes as a standard feature(i think) for the hondata s200 so there is no way around it. you would want the car to rev higher if you can make power at that rpm. if your car stops making power at around 6800 and you have the rev limit set to 9000 there is no point in doing this, you'll just end up blowing up you motor. now if you get some cams and upgrade the valvetrain that can withstand a 9000 rpm run and the cams make power all the way to 8.5 or 9k then you could do that.
