Avoid the Matrix

Unless you just have to live and breathe the Matrix all the time, this game is not for you. I guess they spent so much time making special footage for the game, they forgot to make the game good. If it drops down $10, then buy it.

It is to bad. I love the Matrix, but this game is hard to love.

Just a matter of your own opinion. Some people might think it's pretty good. I dont think your personal opinion really matters when other people are deciding what they should like.

I work at a video store and they rent games there, and i've heard nothing but good things about that game. I personally haven't played it yet, I have to wait until I can get it for free. But when I do i'll put my opinion on.

i got that game and it kicks ass, the story line itself is worth the buy.

its got great action, and the cut-scenes are tied into the movie as well, so everything works out together.

Opinions is what these things are all about as GTi-VR6_A3 pointed out.

I have been playing video games since Pong. My opinion is combined with those of veteran game reviewers at Tech TV. If you check out reviews from other magazines, newspapers, and web sites you will see many long time gamers feel this game comes up short.

It is easy to love the game for the cut scenes and concept, but when compare the mechanices and layout against other top games, it falls short. I think the worst games ever can still find a couple of people who think the game is good.

I believe the majority of serious gamers will not love this game. The matrix game is been really hyped and will sell many copies based on the hype, but it will never be thought of as a Metroid Prime, GTA:VC, or Unreal Champ.

Opinions from anyone is good to see. I apperciate people who give detailed opinions. Not just postings like, "It sucks," or "The best game ever!"

To ignore my opinion is your right, but people who are on a tight budget or who want to get the most for the gaming dollar, should at least think about what I have said. I hope all gamers read many reviews and postings before they buy.

I believe I must reply with an apology in light of reading this. I only made said statements because so often I see other people automatically do things because other people said this or that about it, but they never decide to find out for themselves. I'll take you serious on the comment that most serious gamers wont like the game, but I also feel that not every single person who will be playing the game is a serious gamer. But I do agree, I doubt it will do as well as the games you mentioned. Once again, I apologize.

I didnt think it was that bad. It reminded me of the Max Payne game. I just had fun running around shooting at everyone in slow motion. If you need help or just want to goof around try this> go into the hacking section and enter> CHEAT 7F4DF451 for inf. health, CHEAT 1DDF2556 for inf. ammo, CHEAT 69E5D9E4 for inf. focus, dont forget the word cheat before the code.

It is all good ILike2DriveCars. I may have come across harsh or unfair, but I have so little money to spend on games, I expect a lot for my money.

Matrix is worth renting. Judging by some of the other postings here, there are people who like the game.

My hope is they will find some reason to sell a revised version fo the game. Maybe a "Directors Cut" version of the game. This will give them a chance to fix some of the issues with the game.

From what I remember reading, they had worked on this game for over three years. I would think an upgrade could be done in 6 months. They may not feel there is a market for it.

Could you imagine if the Matrix team had been able to work with the Spilnter Cell team. The Matrix lincense with the top notch talent behind Splinter Cell may have been able to make the best game of all time.

I agree that the game could have used a bit more tweaking, and I think that is was also much shorter than I would have liked. I have played it through with both characters though, and there are enough differences to make it worthwhile. If you are a hardcore gamer like me, you like games with a lot of substance. I like to be able to play for hours, with games like the metal gears, resident evils, etc. The matrix falls a bit short on the "meat". There are some great effects, moves, and other little treats to make it worthwhile though, especially for the gamer who likes action, and near impossible feats that will make their eyes go just a little buggy. Of course, it's also fun to just try to thrash the agents...
