All B-series blocks will swap as easily as any other (with the exception of the B20, which you'd have to get a different head to allow it to fit under the hood).
The B18A1 will be by far the easiest to find, since it's under the hood of any '90-'93 Teg GS, which are all over the place. The B18C will be harder to find, and therefore more expensive. Its donor car is the Teg GS-R (or Type-R if you wanna go JDM). The GSR uses a B18C1 (from 94-00) and the Type-R is powered by the B18C5. The C5 is generally about $1000-$2000 more. A lot of money for an extra 25 hp. (The C1 runs around 170 hp, and the C5 around 195 hp). More common and less expensive, and just as easy to install is the B16A from an 99-00 Si. You might want to think about that instead of the B18. But it all depends on what kind of money you want to toss around. Here are stats on the 3 engines i talked about: B18A1: -------- Donor: '92-'93 Integra GS Displacement: 1834cc CR: 9.2:1 HP: 140@6300rpm Torque: 121 lb-ft@5200rpm Stock Tranny: YS1 B18C1: -------- Donor: '94-'00 Integra GS-R Displacement: 1797cc CR: 10.0:1 HP: 170@7600rpm Torque: 128 lb-ft@6200rpm Stock Tranny: Y80 B18C5: -------- Donor: '97-'98, '00 Integra Type-R (JDM) Displacement: 1797cc CR: 10.6:1 HP: 195@8000rpm Torque: 130 lb-ft@7500rpm Stock Tranny: S80 Hope that helped |
