Online?
I got my sources, and I'm sure you got yours... Last time I saw a front clip for sale was for $1,800 and thats without hookup and at normal cost, not online, through a reliable contact, anyone can get them at this price. And this is not my *PERSONAL* source (in other words I can get cheaper prices). $1,500 for a tranny swap? You better love that tranny (HAHAH) for that price... -glenn Quote:

Logikal - if you have all the right tools and a whole day to work on it, you can easily do the swap in 6-8 hours and end up spending alot less. think about it.

It took me and 3 friends about 16-18 hours, that included getting food, misc parts, replacing the rear main seal, and various other things while I was underneath the car.

![]() the swap is prolly worth it... if you really want a manual and want to drop that much money into an old car. i thought about doing it to mine, but i figured i'd be more cost effective just to sell mine and get a car with a stick already in it.

I didnt say that to try to put you down, I was just saying thats one of the reasons I wouldnt sell my car unless it was for some serious cash. I've put too much work in this shitride to just "let it go" for like 7 grand.. thats a joke.
If you sell your car and get another 240 (a stick, for example), you're going to end up realizing that the car will need maintanance anyway. Its not a bad idea to take things apart and replace them with newer, less worn parts. I took the upper part of my motor apart at 120k and did a valve job, head gasket, and various other parts just because I was doing the timing chain and was in the area. Thats all I meant by my post. Plus, you might as well learn to work on your car.. no shame in that.. unless you're fond of mechanics inserting their pneumatic impact tools up your ASS.. hehe! ![]() - Mike Quote:
