AEM cold air intake
i am going to buy a cold air intake for my 96 gsr and was wondering if AEM is really worth the money? they are fairly expensive compaired to some other brands out there. is it just because of the name? any suggestions? also i was wondering if anyone knows where to get a wings west rs body kit at a good price the lowest i found so far was $550. thanks for the helpa

AEM is one of the best. But I would suggest an Injen Race Division CAI.

i suggest a cheap-o ebay one and then buy an oversidez universal k&n filter (they sell them online at wholesale w/ free shipping). Total $80

AEM is great, that is what I have and I have no complaints. If you go and buy an e-bay cheapo like suggested, just remember you get what you pay for.

The only advantage you get when buying an AEM is the carb exemption, and the name. An ebay intake will work just as good.

a piece of pipe is a piece of pipe. do you think painting it red and putting an AEM sticker on it will make more horsepower and be worth $200 more? if so, i'll paint my ebay intake a flashy color, put an AEM sticker on it, and sell it to you for $250.
different designes on the other hand might make a difference, such as the AEM v2, or Iceman which tapers to the throttle body. I stil lwouldn't pay so much money for +1hp more than the 40 dollar ebay special. |

get the AEM V2 cold air intake.... alot of $$ but it is THE MOST POWERFUL INTAKE ON THE MARKET, hands down.
