4th gen vs 03 corolla revisited

Aight so as you guys know a couple of us have been beaten by these damn things lately. First was me in a 91 civic LX vs an 03 corolla LE ... then was that other guy who I think has a civic dx hatch.

Well today, I rolled with my friend in his 03 le to lunch, on the way back there was a crx SI following us ... so im thinking "yes, that guy has to bring pride back to the 4th gens" so we get to the stoplight, and I tell my friend to rev on him. Well my friend doesnt and we start to go, and its about even for a little while, but as soon as the CRX shifts the corolla begins to pull ... god damn it.

Later when we got back to school I talked to the guy in the crx and was like damn man, I thought you would take him, seeing as he has the d16a6 with mpfi and he has a few mods. I also told him about the corolla killing me a couple of months earlier. Anyways, the CRX guy was pretty cool and even though he didnt beat the corolla he came pretty damn close, hopefully we can race again on equal footing.

I will see if I can get the guy to come onto AF ... his crx was sweet, he has the wings west kit, exhaust, and whatever else he has under the hood.

Anyways, just wanted to share

:finger: ok back on subject here ... I think I should race the CRX just to see how much of a difference MPFI would actually make, cause im interested in the outcome ... I know he will pull on me slightly harder cause his car is light, but im still curious.

not talking about this post but in general....i hate it when people ask which car would beat which car, my bud wants to race who do u think will win, what kinda car would beat.....those threads make me sick

but the crx will beat u....but it depends on how much which i guess is what ur wondering

which is why I posted an actual race and not a post asking about things. I know the CRX will beat me ... by how much is the real question.

lol its not like Setanta to need one of those is it??? I dunno about the specs of your corollas or CRX's too much, but I do know I spank Corolla's. Its like the runs I have against the girl in my town with exactly the same car, she has NEVER even equalled me in a drag and we've had a few... the driver counts for a LOT.

I know im not the best driver ... but the guy in the CRX goes to drags regulary, and had steelies on the front, so I know he is a pretty good driver.

Now that I've re-read your original post realised the biggest factor in the CRX getting beaten was the fact he only has SOHC, ewww... bad for CRX's.

I think the main reason the crx didnt win is because my friend didnt throw a rev like I told him, so the crx driver was caught off guard.
