To Cy & the other guys: Tire Help needed - Thank You.
My tires size is 225/55/16, and my car is a 2002 Chevy Caprice LTZ(made in Holden Australia, and not marketed in the US - check www.gmme.com). As the car's engine is a 5.7 Liter V8, with around 300 hp and 315 pf/torque, and as I drive very agressively on both twisty roads (60- 80 mph) as well as the highways (110 - 130 mph), the help I want consists of replacing the original tires (Yokohamas Advan) with new ones that have the following criteria:
Good handling (gotta enjoy the engine and the speed) Comfortable and calm ride (the car is huge and a great cruiser). Good all year round traction (gotta have all season tires). Any help / suggestions would be highly appreciated. |

Thank you Cy. A friend of mine advised to look at:
Bridgestone Potenza G III & Bridgestone Potenza ER-50 When looking for both of them at The Rack I couldnpt find any trace. Maybe they are not marketed in the US. However, as I know that Bridgestone is truly superior, I am wondering if you have any specs / opinion, survey (handling, smooth ride, wet traction ... etc.) about both the G III (it's a sport tire similar, as I think, to Michelin's Pilot Sport), and the ER-50 (smoother tire, I guess). Thenk you for your great help and advice. |

Sounds like the tires that would be closest to those 2 tires would be the Bridgestone Potenza S-03 Pole Position and the Bridgestone Potenza RE750. I would check our site for pics of both. If treads look similar then, the surveys and test results may be helpful as assuming the compounding and internal construction is similar.
